Pamela Stephenson was born in Takapuna, Auckland, New Zealand.
She played the role of "Mabel" in the London premiere of the Joseph Papp version of "Pirates of Penzance", opposite Tim Curry as "The Pirate King" and Michael Praed as "Frederic".
She wrote a popular biography about her husband, Billy Connolly, particularly his very tough childhood, called "Billy".
She has since retired from acting and obtained a doctorate in Psychology.
