Born in Salisbury, Maryland, USA, following high school Linda
studied for two years at Washington College in Chestertown,
Maryland, before moving on to acting studies in New York. In New
York she attended acting workshops given by 'Lee Strasberg' (qv).
Her first parts where small parts in TV series, with her biggest
break coming with her role in _Terminator, The (1984)_ (qv). Most
known to public at large from her part in the TV series _"Beauty
and the Beast" (1987)_ (qv) (before _Terminator 2: Judgment Day
(1991)_ (qv), at least).

– During her childhood Linda suffered from the fact that everybody saw her as just one with her sister. At the age of 16, this frustration lead to a severe identity crisis: she cut her hair and eyelashes and finally weighed about 167 pounds just to differ from her sister.

– In Sarah's dream sequence in TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY (1991), the Sarah Connor in the playground was played by 'Hamilton, Linda''s twin sister, 'Hamilton Gearren, Leslie'. The scene was originally to be shot with Linda playing both parts but she suggested using Leslie to make it easier to shoot. Leslie was subsequently used as a double in other scenes involving two Sarah Connors (i.e., when the T1000 was imitating her).
